Curse of Chucky UPDATE

Curse of Chucky - the latest installment in the Child’s Playfranchise – is one sequel I suspect we’ll be   hearing a bit about at Comic-Con this summer.  The film is done, awaiting release this fall, and the film’s co-star, Fiona Dourif, took to Instagram to show off some soundtrack art, which not only gives us a glimpse at what is possibly the poster for this direct-to-DVD title but presents a good look at Chucky himself.  Head inside for a larger look!

Written and directed by Don Mancini, the film concerns Nica (Fiona Dourif), a young woman grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail.

1. Sonoma Wire Works Riffworks T4

Designed specifically for guitarists, Riffworks features a loop-based workflow that enables you to build up songs quickly. The good news is that the T4 version can be downloaded for free, and the even better news is that this enables you to collaborate with up to three other players online. You can then post your finished tracks on the RiffWorld website.

2. Hobnox Audiotool

There are loads of one-trick Flash-based music-making toys on the internet, but Audiotool looks and feels like something you’d like to spend a bit of time with. It features emulations of classic Roland synth/groovebox hardware, plus a mixer to plug them into and a selection of stompboxes that you can use to process your sounds. Fire it up and see a five-minute tinker turn into a multi-hour production session.

3. Indaba Music

Network, collaborate and discover are Indaba’s watchwords, and they sum up the site pretty well. You can make contact with musicians from around the world, create music with them in a web-based app, and listen to other people’s music. There are also remix contests – stem files of songs can be downloaded and you can then set about reworking them.

4. JamGlue

With the emphasis on remixing, JamGlue enables its members to upload music files and then arrange them in a DAW-style browser-based app (you can record into this, too). This isn’t the end of the story, though: you can also make use of all the other audio material on the site, and go to work on other people’s mixes. Predictably, there are strong community elements, too.

5. Digital Musician Recorder

As well as offering plug-ins that enable you to work with others via your existing DAW, digitalmusician.net also has this standalone 16-track recording app for download. It’s available to anyone with an account on the website (you can sign up for a free variant) and enables both offline and online collaboration. Webcam and talkback support mean that you can see and chat to your buddies, too.

6. YourSpins

If your dream is to remix commercially released tracks, YourSpins gives you a quick and easy way of doing it in your browser. Select from a list of artists, pick one of their songs and you can then work your magic on it via an onscreen mixer. This lets you adjust levels and bring in alternative parts. Finished remixes can be saved and posted on your own profile page.

7. eJamming

The focus here is very much on playing with other people – sign up for a free trial and you can download the cross-platform eJamming AUDiio software application. Open this and you can start playing with other members, with the Jam Mode promising near-zero latency collaboration. There’s also the Virtual Recording Studio Mode, which lets you work on an ‘add-a-track’ basis, and you can mix sessions down to WAV files.

Here’s eJamming being demoed by, err, Smashmouth.

8. Ninjam

It’s a more techy system than many of the others on our list, but Ninjam is an online, almost real-time collaboration option that many people have had a lot of success with. Some reading-up will be required if you want to get started, but if you want to give it a try, you might also like to download the Reaper DAW for evaluation, as this gives you direct access to the Ninjam servers.

Mob Of The Dead

Black-Ops-2-Mob-of-the-Dead-walkthrough

Mob of the Dead, also known as Alcatraz Island, is the fifteenth Zombies map. It is included in the second Call of Duty: Black Ops II downloadable content pack, Uprising. It was released on April 16, 2013 for Xbox 360 and May 16, 2013 for the PS3 and PC. The map pack costs individually $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points), but is also a part of the Season Pass costing $49.99 (4000 Microsoft Points).

Mob of the Dead occurs within the infamous Alcatraz Prison and includes the Golden Gate Bridge; the juncture of the map is set during the Prohibition-era of America. The four playable characters are Finn O’LearyAlbert Arlington,Salvatore DeLuca, and Billy Handsome. These mobsters are inmates of Alcatraz and attempt to execute an escape plan during the night of the zombie outbreak.

This map introduces a new game mechanic, the Afterlife Mode. A player in Afterlife Mode can power various utilities and walk through certain walls to reach areas that aren’t normally accessible, however, the duration of the afterlife is limited. Afterlife is necessary for collecting the planecomponents that are dispersed across the map. Mob of the Dead also features a new boss-like zombie, Brutus. He attacks players and also targets various utilities to disable, including Perk machines, workbenches, traps, and the Mystery box.

The map also features a number of buildables, including theZombie Shield, the Acidgat Kit, and Icarus. Any of the numerous workbenches found around the map may be used to craft these buildables, with the exception of Icarus, which must be built on the roof of the prison.

There are three musical easter eggs currently found: Rusty Cage by Johnny Cash, “Where Are We Going?” by Malukah and “Samantha’s Lullaby”.

Mob of the Dead is located on Alcatraz Island during the Prohibition-Era of American history. The four playable characters are Finn O’LearyAlbert ArlingtonSalvatore DeLuca, and Billy Handsome, all of whom are gangsters who have been locked up on Alcatraz and were planning an escape on the night of the outbreak. Zombies on the island have red eyes, and the mystery box has a different look with a red glow, indicating that the zombies are not under Samantha’s or Richtofen’s control.  This map also introduces Guard and Prisoner zombies on the island.[2]

Weapons

The map features several additions to the players’ arsenal. The Uzi and the AK-47 make their debut in Zombies, as well as the M1927 Thompson. The Death Machine makes a return as a standard box weapon instead of being a powerup. The LSAT is also featured, having only appeared in the zombie variant of Nuketown. Also returning from Nuketown Zombies is the Fire Sale power up. There is a new Wonder Weapon featured, the Blundergat - a cross between a Blunderbuss and a Gatling Gun. There is also a unique tomahawk-like weapon, known as Hell’s Retriever. The weapon has a red aura and can pierce through multiple zombies before returning back to the player once thrown. A secret melee Wonder Weapon called the Golden Spork can also be obtained; it boasts very high damage and is capable of one-hit kills up to Round 34.

Traps and Utilities

Purchasable traps also return, last appearing in Ascension. The map features three new traps, the Fan Trap, the Acid Trap, and the Tower Trap, the last of which can be upgraded via Afterlife Mode to fire rockets rather than bullets. A new utility is also introduced, the Gondola, which transports players between the main prison and the docks, similarly to the Zipline in Shi No Numa.

New Boss

Mob of the Dead features a new boss zombie, known as Brutus, that can disable perk machines, Icarus, workbenches used to craft buildable items, and the mystery box. Reactivating them requires 2000 points, though the cost scales up by 2000 with each utility disabled in a single round. He can be killed, but does not appear during his own round. Instead, he appears alongside other zombies, similarly to George A. Romero from Call of the Dead. Upon death he will drop a power-up. Additionally, Brutus will spawn inside the map if the player(s) spend too much money investing in the mystery box. He will also appear randomly throughout various hordes. If Brutus encounters an active trap, he will stop moving for a while and disable the trap.

Afterlife Mode

Mob of the Dead also introduces the new Afterlife Mode, a form of gameplay that the player spawns in and enters upon death. In the Afterlife mode, new areas and objectives will become available for the player to complete[3][4]such as unlocking cell doors and activating Perk Machines throughout the map. However, there is a time limit for how long the player can be in the afterlife; once the blue meter has depleted, the player will be sent out of the afterlife and revert to a downed state.

“Escaping” Alcatraz

One of the side quests available in the map features the construction of a crude aircraft, known as Icarus. After building the plane, players are able to fly to the Golden Gate Bridge, where the Pack-a-Punch Machine is located. They are able to return to Alcatraz by using the Electric Chairs found on the bridge; they will subsequently be sent to the starting room in Afterlife Mode.
